Abstract

The genus Dromiciops (Thomas, 1894) is the only living representative of the order Microbiotheria and is found in the northern portion of the Valdivian temperate rainforest ecoregion, approximately between 35 and 43 degrees south latitude. In this study, I report new records of Dromiciops gliroides in Los Alerces National Park, Chubut, Argentina. These records are located beyond the known southern limit and represent the southernmost findings for the species in Argentina.
